“ We had an absolutely awesome time at Shopsins this morning for breakfast. We had the chocolate chip pancake balls, the banana bread pudding French toast, and the mac and cheese chorizo pancake everything was delicious. Definitely try the mac and cheese pancake if you go, and try out their homemade hot sauce with it. Also the staff was unbelievably kind and generous. They went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time. Thanks everyone at Shopsins! Its a new goto for us when were in the city! ”
“ We got there near opening on Sunday and the three of us were seated immediately. Coffee is selfservice and service was laidback, great if you dont want to be rushed, wouldnt have appreciated if we were in a rush. Blisters on my Sisters tortilla, rice and beans, veggies, eggs cheese was very good after a salting. Sons So Good triple decker French toast grilled cheese eggs pleased, wifes pancakes did not based on portion, price, and texture. Finished our meals in relaxed fashion avoiding eye contact with those in the everincreasing line. ”
“ We got ALL that is possible and landed that the Chubby cannot be slept on. Get it and be ready to DEVOUR it! Everything else we got was also fabulous that was just the stand out! There wasnt a crazy line at 1pm on a Sunday so we were grateful considering that we were so excited to eat there! Its a cozy spot so be prepared to snuggle up and enjoy the food! ”
“ Probably my favorite pancakes in all of nyc. Cute little spot tucked inside the Essex market. No reservations here you have to stand in line to wait for a table. Its my go to place for brunch in the winter since their line is indoors. Their menu is insanely long and literally everything is good. While youre likely waiting in line to be seated you can browse and be overwhelmed by their extensive menu. Be prepared for a slower meal as the kitchen is seriously tiny they bring your food out as its ready one by one. Come with a smaller group to be seated faster, theres only about 10 tables plus a few bar seats. Its also not a full service spot. A server takes your order and brings your food, but you help yourself for water and coffee. Its chill and laid back, just dont try and bring your togo iced lattes in here, they really dont like that. ”
“ Shopsins is awesome but maybe an acquired taste first time the food might feel too large and gimmicky. Stay with it and explore the menu, get to know the guys. Youll see. Recommended maccheese pancakes, anything with fried chicken or brisket, lemon ricotta pancakes. Scrambled eggs arent fancy. Latkes are heavy. Postpandemic they still got it. Postpostpandemic yep. ”

“ The best reason to get up in the morning....or early afternoon on a SaturdaySunday. Ive never had a bad meal and the menu is so extensive that youll be hard pressed to repeat. A wonderful staff and great atmosphere. A New York must try!! ”
“ Great food and amazing service. We tried a variety of dishes and they were all delicious. Its a bit of a wait on weekends so be prepared to wait. We went on Sunday around 12pm and waited about 45mins for a table of 4. I would recommend going with 2 people only. But the servers were amazing and the all the food was worth the wait. ”
